How to begin adding noise to a process that is so silent? Meditation remains mysterious perhaps to those who are still within the beautiful chaos of thoughts and thinking. Most don’t think that they’ll be able to concentrate long enough without interruption to actually mediate. What they don’t realise is that the fact one actually commits to sitting down to meditate is a big part of the process.
There are many different forms of meditation. From Vipassana to Mindfulness to Guided Visualisations and many more. The best way to find which one is right for you is to try and test them out. Taking out a small amount of time daily can have a lasting impact on the rest of your day. We recommend meditation in the early morning hours when energies are more calm, but you could meditate at any hour.
A great first read on Meditation is “Mindfulness in Plain English” by Bhante Gunaratana.
Another great read with many different examples of meditations is “Meditation” The first and last Freedom by OSHO.
